1800Flowers is a very unprofessional business

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my girlfriends work this past V-day. I placed my order on February 8th and wanted them delivered on the 13th as she was off work on V-day. They said not a problem and I paid extra to have my order sent to a local florsit so they could be hand delivered.

The 13th went by and no flowers were delivered, then the 14th came and no flowers were delivered. At this point I had told her and she called her work on numerous occasions on the 14th. The 15th came and they were still yet to be delivered.

At this point I was pissed, I had been calling them all day on the 14th and they send you to voicemail, You CANNOT get a live person to speak with on the 14th or 15th. I sent two different emails and never got a response to either.

The money was taken from my account on the 10th and I am yet to have services rendered that I've paid for not to mention my V-day is now ruined for my girlfriend. I finally call the "place an order line" and got an actual person who lied to me and shifted blame to the local florist, he promised to call me back in 30 minutes and never did.

Finally on the 19th, 6 days after the requested delivery date someone called me to apologize. They offered me a full refund and a measly 15% off my next order like I will EVER order from them again.

Today it is the 25th and I have yet to receive my refund or any call stating why. To sum everything up, 1800 Flowers is a joke, they offer a subpar service if you get any at all, their customer service is a joke and it seems as if once they have your money they could care less about you. Order there if you dare.

My son ordered flowers to be delivered to me on 5/11/08 and they never arrived. He called yesterday to complain, got an apology, credit to his card (we'll see if that happens) and assurance that I would receive the floral arrangement (free of charge) today. It is now 1:34 PM and I have yet to received a delivery. 

 

My son feels awful that this happened and especially since he wanted to make me feel extra special by having it arrive ON Mother's Day. That is what hurts more then not receiving the flowers, listening to my son apologize to me and feel how hurt he feels that his special way of showing mom his love was f_____ up by a business that doesn't give a crap. 

 

Attorney General will be receiving a complaint.
